Warren, MI – February 7, 2020: The executive team at St. Paul Street Evangelization (SPSE) announces a new campaign to help inspire Catholics to evangelize during Lent.  The promotion, called Sent4Lent, is a challenge of sorts that encourages Catholics to get out and spread the word of Christ at least four times during the holy and penitential season of Lent.

β€œLent is a great time to renew your relationship with Christ and return to faith,” said Bob Wilson, Director of St. Paul Street Evangelization. Anyone can participate, including individuals, parishes, and SPSE teams. If you have a zeal for souls and want to invite people to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and his Church, Sent4Lent may be for you! Successful completion of the Sent4Lent challenge includes attending at least four evangelization outings during Lent (between February 26 and April 12). Originally developed as a motivational tool for the St. Paul Street Evangelization national Team Leaders to use during Lent, the promotion quickly gained interest among volunteers and friends of SPSE. β€œWe thought it was just going to be a tool for our Team Leaders, we were pleasantly surprised to hear that friends of our apostolate had so much interest in the campaign,” said Wilson.  Evangelization outings can include fish fries, stations of the cross, Bible studies, penance services, service opportunities, and retreats.

About St. Paul Street Evangelization:  St. Paul Street Evangelization (SPSE) is a grassroots, non-profit organization, dedicated to responding to the mandate of Jesus to preach the Gospel to all nations by taking the Catholic Faith to the streets. Founded in May 2012, St. Paul Street Evangelization provides the tools and resources for Catholics to engage the culture in a simple, non-confrontational method of evangelization, which involves making themselves available to the public to answer questions about the faith and to pray with those who request it. SPSE has grown to include teams throughout the United States and even internationally, such as in the Philippines and Australia.
